Service for Keith Harold Girsberger, 61, is set for 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. There will be private burial.


Mr. Girsberger, who died Saturday, was born on a farm near Tekoa, Wash.


His family moved to Spangle when he was 3, and he graduated from high school there.


In 1955, he entered the Navy and served for two years. He returned home to farm and in 1964 he moved to Seattle to work for Boeing Aircraft. He married Pauline Palmen in 1967.


He returned to Spokane in 1968 and went to work for the Spokane County Road Department. He retired in 1983.


In 1984, he married Darlene Miller Joralemon.


After his retirement, he and Darlene traveled throughout the United States and visited Europe.


Mr. Girsberger was a member of the Spangle Grange, North Hill Masonic Lodge No. 210, Sadir Khan Grotto of El Katif Shrine, Spokane Chapter No. 163 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Trinity Court No. 51 or Order of the Amaranth, and Eagles Lodge No. 2.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Girsberger-Jens of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Joyce Getz of Sun Valley, Idaho; a brother, Loren Girsberger of Edina, Minn.; and several grandchildren.
