Evertt was the son of Luther E. Cohoon & Callie Elizabeth (Hussey) Cohoon. He married Edith Victoria Reinhold on April 21, 1926 at the Swedish Lutheran church in LaGrange, Cook,Co.,IL. Their four children are Robert Lee, Doris Jean, David Kent and Carol Ann.
