Marguerite was born at Fremont, Nebraska on September 26, 1892.

She moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa from Omaha, Nebraska in 1943.

She was a member of St. Francis Church and the Northwestern Women's Club.

Mrs. Marguerite M. Cox, 71, 108 S. 6th St., died Sunday at a hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa after an extended illness.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, G. Earl Cox; two daughters, Mrs. Duff R. (Marguerite) Swain of Council Bluffs and Mrs. C. B. (Jayne) Merryman of San Gabriel, Calif.; son, John Hinckley of Eugene, Ore.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyer Chapel. Requiem Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas J. Costin will be celebrant at his church. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at Missouri Valley, Iowa.
