Wayne O. Brant, 72, Marshall, Ill., died Tuesday at his residence. He was the son of Lawrence and Minnie (Mangus) Brant. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. He had served in World War II, Korea, and two tours of Vietnam. He had also worked as a carpenter and a locksmith. He was a membered of the Marshall American Legion, the 40 and 8, the DAV and VFW. He married Erma Stewart on May 8, 1954. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Terry Brant and wife Cindy, Marion; a stepson, Don Wood, Amo; two sisters, Mary Shaw, Greencastle, and Effie Pickett, Alexandria; two grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Lawrence Brant Jr., Fred Brent, Marion Brant and Walter Brant; and two sisters, Mabel Sears and Elizabeth Arnold.
