She married James J. Eckart on February 19, 1959. They moved to Lawton in 1972 where she worked for the Armed Services YMCA, until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, James Eckart of the home; son, Gary Eckart of Lawton; daughter, Janet Nasse of Lawton; grandson, Dwayne Eckart of Lawton; granddaughter-in-law Melissa Eckart of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandson Corey Eckart of San Diego, California; granddaughter-in-law, Adriana Eckart of San Diego, California; grandson, Stephen Eckart of Lawton; and great-grandson, Landon Eckart of Lawton.
Modean is preceded in death by her father Lee Hassey; mother Ruth Hassey; brother, J.L. Hassey and sister, Billie Mickley.
Funeral services ~ Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
