Silver Springs - Heaven has gained a new angel, when Albertine Mary Antolik, nee Thomas, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10:15pm at the age of 85 at Monroe Regional Medical Centre. She was born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Canada to a large family of 14 children on January 1, 1930. She received her Nursing Degree in 1950 in Boston, Massachusetts. She married James Antolik in 1951. She had five children and continued her nursing career in Ohio for more than 40 years. She retired and moved to Silver Springs, Florida with her husband.
She is survived by her sister, Carmelle; brother's Calixte, Donald and Paul; five children: Joe, Denise, Calix, Micheline, Scott; her nine grandchildren (Rosaline, Shawn, Joey, Jessie, Nicole, Melanie, Chantelle, Jenny, Daniel); 16 great grandchildren; and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James; mom and dad (Josephine and Alphonse Thomas), four sisters and five brothers.
We will be having a viewing on December 15, 2015, at 8:30am and Celebration of Life Mass at 9:30am at St. Joseph of the Forest Church Mission in Silver Springs, Florida. She will be sorely missed by all, but her beautiful, joyous spirit will live on in the many family and friends that had the great privilege of knowing her. Donations can be made in the form of a Mass in her memory at (352) 625-4222.
