CLAXTON - Charles J. Alderman, 87, died Saturday, December 11, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.
Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Claxton and was native of West Virginia. He moved to Claxton in 1941.
Charles was retired from U.S.M.C as a Gunnery Sergeant and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired from Civil Service at Fort Stewart.
Visitation: Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
Funeral: Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Brewton Cemetery with full military honors.
