Duane S.R. Rahn, 75, of Joppa, Md., formerly of Geneseo, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003.

Services were held on Dec. 31, 2003, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Joppa. Burial was in Fallston, Md.

Duane was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Osco Township, son of Hubert and Leona (Roesner) Rahn. He married Connie Boydan Sept. 26, 1953. He graduated from Geneseo Township High School in 1947. He was a carpenter for Joe Spindler before 1951, and then went to Baltimore to work as a longshoreman, retiring in 1987. He was in the Army's Transportation Division from 1951 to 1953.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie; daughters, Mary Edmund, Churchville, Md., and Ann Taylor, Havre de Grace, Md.; sons, Paul, Jarrettsville, Md., and William, Gainsville, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Fama Prokup, Geneseo. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Pont.
