MRS. BLOOD DIES AT 84 IN CAMDEN

CAMDEN – Mrs. Ada M. Blood, 84, died Thursday, (March 10) at the Bell Nursing Home after a long illness. She was a former resident of Prattsburg.

She was born March 30, 1875 in Cohocton, the daughter of the Rev. William Miller and Minerva Bush Miller. She was married to Fred E. Blood June 29, 1898 in Linthill. He died April 1, 1951.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Blood was a teach in and around Cohocton and in Atlanta. After her marriage, she and her husband settled in the vicinity of Prattsburg. Mr. Blood, for many years, was president and director of the Plattsburg State Bank.

Mrs. Blood was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Plattsburg; a member of the Federation Society; the Kings Daughters Society, of the church; also, a member of Bennett Chapter, OES., of which she was a past matron.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Willard I. Andrews, Kenmore; Mrs. Leslie Edsall, Delmar; and
Mrs. Ray Vrooman; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. E. L. Polmateer, Cohocton; also several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Sanborn Funeral home this evening from 7 to 9. The body will be taken to the McConnell Funeral Home, Prattsburg, tomorrow morning where friends may call Saturday afternoon and evening.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the McConnell Funeral Home, and burial will be in the Prattsburg Rural Cemetery.

OES ritualistic services will be conducted at the McConnell Funeral Home Saturday night at eight.
