Daughter of Thomas Kirby and Mary Acocks. Married to John Monroe Dodds in about 1894. Previously married to Alexander Horne in 1892. Immigrated to the United States about 1878-1879 with her family.

The following was her obituary published in the July 22, 1937 issue of the Millard County Chronicle.

ELIZABETH DODDS
Mrs. Elizabeth Dodds, wife of J. M. Dodds of Salt Lake City, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otis Corbett of the South Tract, while on a visit here. Death was caused by uremic poisoning and occurred last Thursday.
She is survived by her husband, J. M. Dodds, her daughter, Mrs. Otis Corbett, a son by a former marriage, W. D. Horne of Portland, Oregon and six brothers and sisters: J. J. Kirby now living in Salt Lake City, formerly a resident of Delta; Mrs. Maud L. Reat, Portland; George D. Kirby of Torrance, Cal.; H. J. Kirby, Pendleton, Oregon; W. J. Kirby, Los Angeles; and Mrs.C. I.Bridgman, Culver City, Cal.
Mrs. Dodds moved to Delta in 1921 and lived here five years then removing to Salt Lake City where they made their home.
Interment was held in Salt Lake City and funeral services conducted there Sunday.
