Funeral of B. P. Hoaglin
Funeral services were held at the reservation church on Tuesday afternoon for Britain Pomeroy Hoaglin, who died at his home on Buck Mountain on November 1. Deceased was a well-known and highly respected Indian citizen, having been a range rider and sheep herder on the Rohrbough ranch for a lifetime. He is survived by wife and twelve children. Austin McLain, blind Indian preacher, spoke of the early life and kind deeds of the departed. Pastor Olsen spoke sympathetically from the text "Love One Another," which had been chosen by Mr. Hoaglin himself for the occasion. Interment took place in the beautiful Pine Grove cemetery which has been set aside for the use of the Indian people.
