Eloise Shively, 85, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Born February 10, 1930 in Delaware County to Delbert and Della (Foreman) Bailey, she was a lifelong Delaware resident and a graduate (1948) of Willis High School. On December 27, 1952 she married James Shively who died in 1978. A long-time member of Valleyview Evangelical Friends Church, she cared deeply for her church family. She is survived by several childhood friends and many friends at the Georgetown Senior Apartments. One of her favorite ways to pass the time was with a fishing pole in her hand, but even that didn’t compare to spending time with her family and friends.

She is also survived by her children William (Juanita) Shively and Laurie (Timothy) Damron; granddaughters Sarah Keith, Rachel Shively, Lindsay Damron and Kelsey Damron: great-grandchildren Hazel Keith and Holden Keith; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers Lesley, Harley, Everett, Milford, Floyd and Lawrence and four sisters Ora Wood, Mildred Griffith, Emma Hansen and Lois Ramsey and several nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends and visitors on Saturday December 12, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12 (noon) at the Valleyview Evangelical Friends Church, 868 West William Street, Delaware. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow with Pastors Josh Walker and Wallace White officiating.
