RICHMOND - Brian Curtis Byrd, 28, of Richmond, passed away Sun, Aug. 27, 2006, in Lexington, KY. He was born in Richmond on Sept. 6, 1977, and was a1995 graduate of Madison Central High School. He attended Eastern Kentucky University, was in the Air Force R.O.T.C. and the Air National Guard. Brian was a Richmond Little League Coach and Manager and played in the Richmond Softball League. He was a quality assurance inspector for the automotive industry and currently worked with his late fiancée, Judy Rains at K9 by Design. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his parents, Tony and Sue Gibbs Byrd of Richmond; one son, Trenton Blaine Byrd; one sister, Melissa Anne Byrd; one niece, Marriah Eaton; two nephews, Tanner Eaton and Carson Stanifer; maternal grandparents, Eula and Billy Johnson and Mrs. Sandra Gibbs; uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Byrd, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Eden, Mr. andMrs. Jerry Gibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Owens, Wallace J. Byrd, and Stephen Gibbs; special family members, David, Anna and Christen Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Land; many other family members and friends, including Tommy Lucas and Barry Burton. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Hubert Gibbs and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Wallace Byrd.Died on Comair Flight 5191.
