Isabel Moody Morton of Conyers, passed away December 8, 2015, at the age of 93. She was born June 10, 1922, in Union Point, GA, to the late Charles Lamb and Mary Beulah Moody. A member of Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough, Mrs. Morton enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Morton, Sr.; parents; sisters, Kate White, Gwen Payne; brother, Charles L. Moody, Jr.; and infant daughter, Deborah Kay Morton.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Lester Caldwell; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Brinda Morton, Jerry and Jane Morton, Gary and Jan Morton; brothers, Rev. Hudson Moody, Rev. John Moody, Rev. Dwight Moody, and retired Police Chief Bob Moody; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandsons.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Morton will be held Friday, December 11, 2015, 1:00 PM, at The Baptist Tabernacle, 10119 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Jeremy Morton officiating and interment following at 3:30 PM in Melwood Cemetery, 5170 East Ponce de Leon Ave., Stone Mountain. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to the service on Friday, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
