Born November 25, 1955 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late V. Lyle Hicks and Delores (Leaman) Hicks. Carlene graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1974, where she was the vice-president of her senior class.
Her marriage was to Bruce L. Fuller on January 7, 1978 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of West Lafayette. He survives.
Carlene was a homemaker, raising her two children. She was also a volunteer caregiver to others. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening. Carlene was a lot of fun to be around, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Surviving with her mother, Delores Hicks, and husband, Bruce L. Fuller, are two daughters, Mavis Soney (husband: Joe) of Bloomington, IL, and Darcie Mair (husband: Thomas) of Indianapolis; two brothers, Brain Hicks (wife: Joyce) of Brookston, and Scott Hicks (wife: Jocabel) of Lafayette; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Mason Soney.
