Mrs. Cramer was born July 18, 1929 in Limestone County, she was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ and a graduate of Athens High School.

Survivors: Husband: Andy James Cramer, Athens; Daughters: Charlotte Bates (Randy), Athens, Paulette Bernstein (Ed), Huntsville, Dawn Waalkes (Michael) Aspen, CO; Grandchildren: Paula Curnutt (Brad), Wendy Adams (Greg), Jamie Bates (Liz), Iris Williams (Pete); Great Grandchildren: Madison Curnutt, Austin Bates, Andrew Bates, Bess Adams, Meighan Adams Winton, Cason Williams.

Preceded in death by: Parents: Paul and Bessie Covington.

Margaret worked hard all her life and enjoyed the social aspect of work. She was a long time employee at Fly Manufacturing, and also worked for a few years at Horizon Sportswear. But her last job as a Walmart greeter was the most perfect job for her.

She loved meeting and greeting old and new friends and took pride in her work. She enjoyed telling her family about who she had seen that day or what was going on at work. She hated when it rained and the buggies got wet.

Outside of work, Margaret took pleasure in being with family and friends. She raised three daughters, chauffeured them and their friends, sewed clothes for them, and attended every possible event they participated in and—for as long as she was able, the events of grandkids and great grandkids. She was always up for an adventure and would try most anything once. She hated growing old and losing her independence and fought it as long as she could. As she became more and more homebound, the visits and calls from family and friends were especially treasured.

In her 86 years, Margaret (or Ma as she was called by so many) touched a lot of lives and she will be missed, but her memory will live in our hearts forever. Let’s not be sad to let her go; but celebrate that she was here. May she rest in peace.

The family would like to thank those who called, visited, and showed kindness through their many acts. Also the nurses and doctors who cared for Margaret—especially the staff at Limestone County Home Health and Hospice of Limestone County. Pallbearers: Jamie Bates, Austin, Bates, Andrew Bates, Brad Curnutt, Greg Adams, Pete Williams, Jim Bertels, Andrew Herron
