Warren enlisted in the Army on Dec. 4, 1970. He served as a Medi-vac helicopter pilot from 1970 -1976 and was stationed in Germany. After returning he joined the Army National Guard where he served until Dec. 31, 1990 and then managed the family farm for 2 years before moving to Columbia.

Warren was active in various organizations. He enjoyed participating in historical re-enactments with the Southfork Regulators. He was instrumental in the founding of the Moniteau Creek River Raiders from Fayette. He was involved in other various community shooting events and competitions and known by his alias, “Doolin Riggs”.

Because of his love of the single action shooting sport, Warren started a career of engraving firearms by hammer and chisel. You can still view his work on his website called DREngraving.com .

Warren is survived by his bride of 38 Years, Chris (Christal Scholle) Brewer of the home, and his brothers Michael Brewer (Marigene), of Jefferson City, and Jay Wilson Brewer(Gloria), of Des Moines, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Warren was the ultimate storyteller and talented writer. He had an infectious smile and quick wit. His favorite response to everyone he met, “I’ve never been better or had less”.
