GROVER — Sylvia Lucille Alexander Jones, 80, 515 Kilgore Road, died May 3, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby.
She was daughter of the late Dave and Viola Alexander, wife of the late Samuel "Alex" Jones, mother of the late Samuel Jones, sister of the late Roy, Odell and Charles Alexander, Alberta Green, joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, later became member of Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church, served on senior choir, usher board, deaconess, past president of Parent Body Missionary Department, former member of Community Sisters and Stewardess Board, member of Electra Chapter No. 12 Order of the Eastern Star and Queen of Sheba Court No. 1 Herions of Jerions of Jerico.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Debra J. Jones, Brenda J. Thompson, Mary J. Parker, the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Rev. Buddy and Doris Jones Sr., Grover, Bobby Jones Sr., White Plains, N.Y., Charles and Dennis, Kings Mountain, Carl Jones, the home; sisters, Margaret Alexander, White Plains, Virginia Alexander, Mt. Kisco, N.Y., Mary McCoy, Rochester, N.Y., Martharae Brown, High Point; 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren
