Mrs. Effie E. Baker, widow of Harry C. Baker of near Myersville died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Hezekiah Baker near Myersville Saturday, Sept. 1. She was born near Myersville, April 5, 1893, she was the daughter of the late Hezekiah and Ann Delauter Summers. She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church at Gambrill. She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Kephart, Mrs. Helen Brandenburg, and Mrs. Thelma Neel, all of Myersville; two sons, Charles H. Baker, Hagerstown; Hezekiah Baker, Myersville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rice, Frederick; one brother, Simon Summers, Hagerstown; 28 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Gladhill Funeral Home in Middletown where services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Ralph Ecker and the Rev. Basil Grossnickle will officiate. Interment will be made in the Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
