NEW ULM REVIEW May 9, 1906
John Simmet, am old and respected citizen of this city died at his home on Washington and North Fifth Streets Thursday morning and was buried from the Catholic church Saturday.
He was born in Germany in 1840 and came to this country while he was yet a child. For a number of years he has made this city his home, having moved to it from the farm from which he retired some years ago.
He leaves a large family of children, all of whom have reached the age of manhood and are in business and have homes of their own.
