Maurice passed away at Winchester Memorial Hospital on 23 Jan 1964 of an "acute coronary occlusion". His death certificate indicates he retired from the "wollen mill". He is buried at the Shenandoah Memorial Cemetery in Winchester next to Elizabeth.
