Mr. Goodlett
Louis B. (Satchel) Goodlett, 76, 1701 State St., died Monday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. W.L. Blackwell and Tommy Wright officiating.
Burial in Forrest Cemetery.
Survivors: son, A.V. Goodlett, Gadsden; grandchildren, Avery Vernon Goodlett, Lawton, Okla., Kim Denise Jones, Attalla; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Seth Goodlett; sisters, Mrs. Susie Simpson, Birmingham, Mrs. Lorine Humphries, Joppa, Mrs. Ann Humphries, Mrs. Cleo Cleland, both of Hulaco; brother, John Goodlett, Hulaco.
Active pallbearers: Argus Kelley, Charles Dollar, Philip Garnet, Bobby Cox, Charles Nails, Bronson Walters, Bobby Garrett, Lee Brown, Charles Nails, Jr., Cecil Tanner.
Honorary pallbearers: staff of Attalla Nursing Home, Dr. Hoyt Lumpkin and all personal friends.
Mr. Goodlett was a native of Cullman County and a resident of Etowah County for a number of years. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service.
