Mrs. Bellinger was born in Southhampton, England, the daughter of the late William and Vera (Gillen) Curtin. She had a dual American and British citizenship and lived in the United States since she was a young child. Mrs. Bellinger lived in Chicago and New Jersey before moving to Albany in 1948 and met her late husband, Earl Bellinger, in Manhattan's Times Square during the V-E Day celebration in 1945. They lived in Albany for more than 50 years thereafter. She was a long time volunteer at Albany Memorial Hospital. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bellinger was employed by Bell Telephone and later by the NYS Dept. of State, both in Albany. During retirement, Mrs. Bellinger traveled widely and visited more than 30 countries; most recently, China, Japan and South Korea. Mrs. Bellinger is survived by six children; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and by her brother, Dr. William Curtin of West Virginia.
