Kevin was born in October 15, 1967, in Sterling, Whiteside county, the Son of Calvin "Cal" and Joyce Fargher Gladhill, He served in the U.S. Army, in Germany.
Hobbes is the husband of Angela Sue "Angie" Coy, Father of Hallie, Hayden, and Chloe Gladhill..
Kevin was employed by Dana Corporation, Sterling.
Kevin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sterling Ward, where he served in several church callings, he loved serving others both in his church and the communities in which he resided.

You will never be forgotten brother, you left an indelible mark on this world, your service to country, and your fellow man so freely you served others, both in this life and those that have gone on before you. Heavenly Father is well pleased in you, you are no longer suffering in pain, though your family and those who know and love you are saddened this day, we know that you are well, but the mortal beings that we are feel the wrenching of our hearts for your family, may the Lord bless and keep them safe and console their hearts, that they do remember the loving happy gentle man that you were and are that they will again hold you close, that this separation is but for a season in all the eternities that your family will forever be together again.

Kevin was born on October 15, 1967, in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Calvin Gladhill and Joyce (Fargher) Gladhill. He graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1986, attended Sauk Valley, and Black Hawk colleges, and was working toward his business degree prior to his passing. He fulfilled his childhood dream of serving his country by completing a three-year tour of duty in the US Army from 1986 to 1989.
On May 5, 1991, he married his eternal companion Angela Sue Coy. Kevin had a high degree of integrity and responsibility in his work and personal life. His strong work ethic earned him the position of Quality Manager at Dana Corp, Sterling, IL.
Kevin was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in variety of ecclesiastical positions. His greatest dream was that his son would serve a mission for his church, which he just successfully finished.
He is survived by his wife, Angie; three children; Hallie (Ryan) Miller of Provo, UT, Hayden Gladhill and Chloe Gladhill both at home, two grandchildren, Kylie and Draeven Miller of Provo,UT; his parents, Calvin and Joyce Gladhill of Rock Falls, IL, a sister Wendy Gladhill of Bloomington, IL, two nieces, Amanda Gladhill of Bloomington, IL and Emmi Gladhill of Rock Falls, IL; and a great niece, Lily Lauts of Bloomington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miles and Nellie Gladhill, Clarence and Mary Fargher and four uncles.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015 McDonald Funeral Home 1002 12th Avenue, Rock Falls, IL 61071. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2709 16th Ave, Sterling, IL 61081. A private family interment will be held later at the Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery [Rock Island National Cemetery].
