Sara “Sally” K. Bartrug, 76, Newport, wife of Charles R. Bartrug for 58 years, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at her residence. Born in St. Marys, WV, on September 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late C.B. and Thelma Brammer Tice.
She was a 1957 graduate of St. Marys High School where she was crowned Belle of St. Marys and attended Mountain State Business College. Sally was a charter member 4H and was a 4H leader and was also a Brownie and Cub Scout leader. Whatever her children and grandchildren were involved in, she was right there. She was a gifted, giving individual who lived her life for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors other than her husband include three children, Rhonda (Gale) Lauer, Brenda (Frank) Horner, and Mark W. (Kim) Bartrug; nine grandchildren, Nick (Lana) Lauer, Jessica Brookes, Anthony (Crystal) Winland, Zach (Corey) Kirkpatrick, Dustin (Tracey) Bartrug, Michael (Heather) Winland, Cody (Ginger) Bartrug, Seth Bartrug, and Evan Lauer; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Marietta) Tice, and John Tice; sister-in-law, Robin Tice; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery.
