Benjamin Atchley II was the son of Benjamin Atchley I and Martha "Chambers" Atchley.

He was the grandson of Thomas Atchley and
Lydia "Richards" Atchley. Also James
Chambers and Elizabeth "Daugherty" Chambers.

Ben was married 4 different times,
according to the U. S. Census records.

Ben's first wife was Anna, maiden name
not known at this time. They were the
parents of 3 known children:
Jesse, Isaac, Margaret C., this record
is from the 1850 census.

Ben married for the second time to
Sarah L. Sims, they were married 4
of August, 1870. At this time no
other information on them.

Also according to the 1880 Census, he was
married to Roseann. In the 1880 census,
it list 3 children, Nancy M., William A.,
and James R. Atchley.

Ben was married for the fourth and believed
to be the last time to Nancy Murrin/Murin
on the 24th of Sept., 1882 in Blount County,
Tennessee.
NOTE: Further research will be done
to learn more information on Ben's
families.

Benjamin M. Atchley was a carpenter by trade.
In the 1910 U. S. Census, Ben is listed living
with his son, Jesse Atchey and his family's
household. At this time Ben was 85 years old
and widowed.


The death certificate for Ben states he died
from blood poison from a sore on his finger.
He was attended by Dr. A. B. Housby. The
place of burial was: Pollards Cemetry. The
undertaker was E. U. Huffoker, Kodak,
Tennessee.
