Arthur I. Abraham, 70, of Bad Axe, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2003, at St.
Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, following an extended illness. He was born on May 10,
1932 in Bad Axe, son of the late Stanley and Matilda (Schipinski) Abraham. He married
Christine Masa on Nov. 7, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. He was a retired milk hauler and
also worked at the former Nagel's Mobile Milling of Bad Axe. He was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson and a life member of the Grindstone-Port Hope
Sportsman Club. He served in the U.S. Army, receiving the National Defense Service
Medal. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, listening to polka music, and
plowing snow with his old Ford tractor. He is survived by his wife, Christine Abraham
of Bad Axe; two sons, Robert Abraham and his wife, Corinna, of Port Hope, David
Abraham of Bad Axe; one daughter, Pam Koroleski and her husband, Ken, of Bad Axe;
one sister, Nancy Filion and her husband, Don, of Filion; eight grandchildren, Eric
Koroleski of Bad Axe, Kristy Koroleski and her fiance, Keith Stambaugh, of Sebewaing,
Justin, Marci, Ryan, Brent, Kendra, and Otyllia Abraham of Port Hope; one niece, Traci
Beatty and her husband, Abe, of Oxford; one great-nephew, Zachary Beatty of Oxford;
several aunts, uncles and cousins. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11
a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Burial
will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish scripture service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on
Tuesday at the funeral home or from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the church.
