Christine M. Abraham, 71, of Bad Axe, passed away Monday, January 8, 2007, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born December 19, 1935 in Hamtramck, daughter of the late Felix and Elizabeth (Paul) Masa. She married Arthur Abraham on November 7, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2003. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. She was an active participant in the Family Council in Courtney Manor. She enjoyed gardening, her flower garden and sewing.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Ken) Koroleski, of Bad Axe; two sons, Robert (Corinne) Abraham, of Port Hope, and David Abraham, of Bad Axe; eight grandchildren, Eric Koroleski and his friend, Tracy MacDowell, of Bad Axe, Kristy (Keith) Stambaugh, of Bad Axe, Justin Abraham, of Camp LeJuene, North Carolina, Marci, Ryan, Brent, Kendra, and Otyllia Abraham, of Port Hope; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Stambaugh (grandma's little shining star), of Bad Axe; one sister-in-law, Nancy (Don) Filion, of Filion; one niece, Tracie (Abe) Beatty, of Oxford; one great nephew, Zachary Beatty, of Oxford; her friend (like the sister she never had), Sue (Elmer) Makowski, of Ruth; and many other special friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Masa.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Officiating will be Fr. James Carlson, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. A scripture service will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
