Lorain Ruth Craven DeMarino – known by most as “Lory”was born June 26, 1925 in San Diego, Ca. to parents Raymond and Yeteve Craven. They were a military family and were in and out of San Diego during her early years. These were the post-depression years and most family members worked. So at the age of 10, Lory began working after school and/or on Saturdays at Bunnel Photo Shop downtown and over the years learned the whole trade of photo finishing and photography.
She received the Lord as her Savior in a North Park Baptist church evening service at age 12 and began serving him in various ministries at age 24.
Lory met Tom in High School and it truly was “Love At First Sight”. Because of the war, they married young on February 20, 1943 and had 4 children (the Lord took one home).
