He served in the United States Air Force and was an insurance salesman for American General Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Loch Laurel Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Eleanor (Darlington) Slaughter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday November 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services, with burial to follow in Jacksonville Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville, FL.
The family will receive friends Wednesday November 11, 2015 from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
