Norn November 21, 1896 in Watauga County, to Bynum and Lettie Moore Anderson. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Surviving are three daughters, one son, two sisters, 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Kelley Memorial Chapel, officiated by Reverends C. O. Vance and Gary Byrd. Burial was in the Mountlawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Directors of Boone were in charge of the arrangements.
