Mr. Leininger, who was born in Wendell, Idaho, died Saturday.
He moved to Spokane in 1991 from Emmett, Idaho, and was a body and fender repairman.
Mr. Leininger was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 1991.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald Leininger and Bruce Carver, both of Bremerton, Jack Leininger of Kent, Wash., and Robert Leininger of Spokane; three daughters, Elois Short and Vel Stevens, both of Spokane, and Charlene Madison of Sequim, Wash.; three sisters, Ruth Short of Wendell, Helen Oswald of Nebraska and Delores Brock of White Salmon, Wash.; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
