Mary K. 99, of Albion, MI. passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Spring Arbor. Mary K. was a daughter of Fred and Jessie (Davis) Vaughn.

Mary K. moved to Albion with her family in 1934 and worked for The Vaughn Company a "family owned business" as an accountant and also did modeling for the retail clothing branch.

On February 19, 1942 she married Walter Bauer of Albion; he preceded her in death in 1959.She left the Vaughn Company to have her 2 children and returned to work at the First United Methodist Church in Albion as a secretary from 1955 to 1971.

She married Leon Arey on February 26, 1972 in Albion; he preceded her in death in 1988.

Mary K. was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member of United Methodist Women, Eastern Star, Albion Historical Society, and the Entre Nous Club. Mary K. enjoyed needle crafts and was an avid gardener. She loved flowers of all kinds and her favorite was the lily of the valley.

She was a woman of integrity, honesty, loyalty, and grace who put church, family, and friends first

Surviving are her daughters, Christy Bauer of Albion, Jeanne Hall of Meza, AZ, step-sons, Chuck (Laurie) Arey of Albion, John (Deb) Arey of Albion, grandchildren, Sarah Bauer, James Hall, Ryan Arey, special nieces Linda Osborne, Kathie Flynn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Walter Bauer, and Leon Arey, and a brother Willis Vaughn.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary was held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Albion with Rev. Jeremy Williams officiating. Interment was held at Albion Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Albion.
