Mrs. Nina B. Blochinger, 72, of Iroquois Drive, Struthers, died of a heart ailment in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient two days.
Mrs. Blochinger was born April 16, 1902, in Carlin, Pa., a daughter of Joseph L. and Catherine Anne Chilcoat Abt, and came to the area 33 years ago. She was a member of Youngstown Postal Clerks Auxiliary and United Steelworkers Women's Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, Lawrence, to whom she was married in 1933, she leaves a son, Charles Deshong of Sunnyvale, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs Thelma Schauble of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Jean Ross of Youngstown; three stepsons, Melvin Blochinger of New York City, Roy Blochinger of San Jose, Calif., and Lawrence Blochinger Jr. of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs. Alma Beck of East McKeesport, Pa., 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
