"Gary L. Anderson, 76 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska.
Gary was born March 2, 1939 at St. Edward, Nebraska to Oscar and Carol (Nelson) Anderson. He attended school at District 47 and District 15 where he graduated the 8th grade. He attended high school at St. Edward through the 11th grade and moved to the Arlington area and graduated from Arlington High School in 1957. After graduation, he was employed doing farm work. He moved to Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska and was employed in construction. Gary married Janet Villwok of Cedar Bluffs on January 28, 1962 in Wahoo, NE. He then worked for his father-in-law, Louie Villwok. They moved into Cedar Bluffs and he worked for the Saunders County Highway Department for 35 five years until retirement. After his retirement Gary and Janet moved to Fremont.
He is survived by wife, Janet of Fremont; son, Jerry and wife, Michelle Anderson of Kearney, Nebraska; daughter, Julie and husband, Dan Christensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Mary and husband, Delbert Hively of Fremont, Karen Keenan of Arlington, NE and Marjorie and husband, Doug Lange of Grand Island, NE; sister-in-law, Vickie Anderson of Fremont; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Diane Anderson.
Funeral service will be 1:30 P.M., Friday, December 4, 2015 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Scott Jensen officiating. Visitation Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Visitation on Friday one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cedar Bluffs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family."
