Patricia Pierson Reid, 90, of 1875 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at her residence. A native of Portland, OR, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Velos Pierson and Madaline Amacher Pierson and the widow of Hythe Addison “Pete” Reid. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Reid Shaw of Richmond, VA, Phyllis Nixon Bosomworth and Pamela Reid Sanders (J.D.) all of Elizabeth City, NC; four grandchildren, Susan Shaw Versen (Stephen), Andrew Reid Shaw (Rebecca), Molly Nixon Hamilton (William), and William Reid Nixon (Erin); one step-grandson, Jake Davis Sanders (Suzanne); and thirteen great grandchildren. Our family expresses sincere appreciation to Barbara Respass and Annie Ferebee for their love and loyalty in caring for our parents.

A memorial service will be Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Casteel officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Asbury Room of the church and at other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 201 South Road Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
