Passed away Sunday, August 27, 2006. She was born May 30, 1927 in Otsego, MI, the daughter of Clifford and Cora (Beck) Hope, grew up in the Richland area, where she graduated from Richland High School in 1945 and had been a resident of the Kalamazoo area for many years. For over 10 years, Joyce was employed by the Allen Electric Company in the production department. She regularly attended the Covenant Church of Kalamazoo, and was a member of the Comstock Community Center, where she was a member of the Choralees, attended luncheons and exercise classes.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. On February 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to Ernest R. Williams. She is also survived by her daughter, her sons, 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, with Rev. John Kepler, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
