Mrs Amanda Dingus is Victim at age 91: Burial Made at Martin

Mrs Amanda Salisbury Dingus, 91 years old, of Martin, died Monday at Our Lady of the way Hospital, Martin after a long illness. A member of the Church of god, she was born July 10, 1877 at Martin, a daughter of Jeff and Melvina Justin Salisbury. Her Husband T.J. Dingus died in 1922.

Surviving are one son and three daughters; Mrs Elizabeth Osborne and Mrs Oliva Jones, Both of Martin and Mrs Jemima Qualls of Plant City Fl, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The Revs. Ronnie Gregory and Lorie Vanncci officiated at the funeral held today (Thursday) at 2 P.M. at the Merion Funeral Chapel, Martin. Burial was made in the family cemetery at martin.



Amanda 'Mandy' Jackson Salisbury was born 10 JUL 1877 in Floyd Co. KY. She was the daughter of Jefferson 'Moses' Salisbury and Melvina Justice. She married Thomas J. Dingus 14 MAY 1898 in Floyd Co. KY, son of Samuel P. Dingus and Arta 'Artie' Flannery.
