Mr. Wright was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Kingsland, Ark. He was a lift truck operator for the GAF Corp. for many years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He attended church at the Sheffield Family Life Center, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Wright and Anne Leona McCoy-Wright.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alberta Wright of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Walter "Corky" Schauwecher, Holden, Mo., Linda and Kenneth Culp, Anderson, Ind., and Roberta and Richard Vargas, Independence; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Wright, Houston; and one sister, Anita Sutterfield, Southaven, Miss.
The funeral services will be held at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The burial services will be held in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family suggests contributions to Sheffield Family Life Center Building Fund.
