Vesta Gayle VonAllmen, 80, of Koshkonong, died Dec. 22, 1998 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO. She was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Oregon County, the daughter of Henry and Janna Rae Baser Huddleston.
On Aug 18, 1937, she was married near West Plains, MO, to Marlin VonAllmen.
She was of the Baptist faith with her membership in the Shiloh Baptist Church, Rover, MO.
Survivors include her husband, Marlin VonAllmen, of the family home; two children, Leon VonAllmen and wife Joyce, of Koshkonong, MO; and Marla Scarcliff and husband Charles, of Glasford, IL; five grandchildren, Russ Scarcliff, Karen Kranz, Ryan Scarcliff, Terry VonAllmen and Renea Alsup; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Huddleston and wife Peggy, of West Plains, MO; one sister, Nell Earls, of Thomasville, MO; 2 sisters-in-law, Nina Huddleston of Sedalia, MO; and Juanita Huddleston of West Plains, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. VonAllmen is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
The body will lie in state Thursday and Friday until service time in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson Drago Funeral Home, West Plains. Funeral services will be Saturday at the funeral home.
