Obituary - Gospel Advocate Nashville, TN February 6, 1913 page 183.. E.F.Bearden - It is with a sad heart that I report the death of my brother in the flesh, also in Christ, E.F. Bearden, a faithful gospel preacher for fifty years in the State of Texas. He departed this life at Granbury, Hood Co., Texas, on November 5, 1912, being eighty years old. He was born in Bedford County, Tenn., and removed to Texas in 1848. Though he has gone from earth, he yet lives in the hearts of the brethren of the Church Of Christ in his field of labor. Pray for us all, that we may so live that we may meet in the sweet by and by. signed J. J. Bearden, Grant, Oklahoma END OF OBIT...
OBIT; Gospel Advocate - Nashville, TN - A publication since 1855 except for 2 years during the Civil War and paper was difficult to get.

Eli, known as Frank, was a Church Of Christ Preacher. For many years he was a Circuit Preacher. He would be away for months at a time.
The Cemetery, "Thorp Spring Cemetery" was Established Circa 1850. The Cemetery is about 4 miles from down town Granbury, Hood Co., TX.
They were the parents of 10 children & they are:
1. Nancy Ellen "Ella" Bearden, she married Ruben A. Jones.
She was born Oct 1861 Hopkins Co., TX. Ella Bearden Jones maybe buried at Rock Bluff Cemetery in Comanche Co., TX USA
Beside her is a Mary Jones. I believe Mary Jones is Ella's daughter-in-law. Ruben A. Jones and wife Nancy Ellen "Ella" (Bearden) Jones son, Earl D. Jones, married and Her name was Mary "Mossie" Sherrill or Shelton and She died prior to 1913. And it is known she died in Comanche Co., TX. We also know that both Ruben and Nancy Ellen "Ella" (Bearden) Jones were on the 1900 Rockwall Co., TX census. However, between the 1900 and 1910 neither of them show up. It is also known that Ella would live with one of her children. And, Earl may have been able to care for his mother. Then, after the birth of Mary "Mossie" last 3rd child she died.
