Michael Miller Sr., 76 formerly of Montezuma, passed way Monday afternoon, November 23, 2015 at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa. As was his wish, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.

Michael Hugh Miller Sr., the son of Horace and Ardyth (Mohler) Miller, was born on February 23, 1939 in Bedford, Iowa. He was a 1957 graduate of Tech High in Des Moines. After being honorably discharged from the army, Mike worked for the Animal Rescue League and Acme Cleaners. He then took a job at Home Juice Company, in Des Moines, where he spent the next 30 years. Mike fathered four children and married Donna Parker. He moved to Lake Ponderosa and enjoyed boating and spending time around the water. Mike was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering on his favorite drivers, Ernie Irvan and Tony Stewart. He also enjoyed cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mike was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his four children, Terri Waremburg, Drew Harrison, Julie Thorpe, and Michael Miller II; a sister, Bettie Taylor and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna and an infant brother.
