Esther May Blount was born October 31, 1924 at Coggon, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clyde and Grace Richardson Blount. Esther graduated from the Buck Creek Schools and continued her education at Upper Iowa University. Esther married William Schott on June 10, 1950 at the Buck Creek United Methodist Church. The couple resided in Janesville, Wisconsin where Esther worked as a teaching assistant. In retirement, Esther and Bill wintered in Arizona, and made their summer home in Hopkinton.
