Nellie Hale, 79, of Greenfield died Dec. 19, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Dec. 21, 1917, in Beckley W.Va., she was the daughter of John and Ella (Lyons) Reggi.

She was a homemaker and attended Speedway General Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ardell "Bill" Hale of Greenfield; son Herb Hale of McCordsville and Jerry Hale of Greenfield; stepson George Reggi of Baltimore; daughter Becky Woodward of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers John Reggi of Ohio and Riley Reggi of West Virginia; sisters Annie Ingram of West Virginia and Susie Via of Virginia; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister Ida Belle House.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield with the Rev. Chester L. Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
