Ida Robertson Couch, 79, of 1930 Whites Run Road, Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, May 24, 2004, in Bedford, Ky.

She was born April 5, 1925, in Clay County, Ky., the daughter of Daniel B. and Delia Allen Robertson. She worked as a housekeeper for General Butler State Resort Park for 28 years and attended Whites Run Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Tommy and Mike Couch, both of Carrollton; five daughters, Ruby Day of Madison, Pat Sharon of Milton, Ky., Bonnie Hardin and Donna Mershall, both of Bedford, and Clara Arvin of Ghent, Ky.; two brothers, Preston and Millard Robertson, both of Booneville, Ky.; one sister, Josephine Daniel of Richmond, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Estill Couch, 1982; two sons, Danny Couch, 1977, and Dennis Couch, 1993; one brother, Bennie Robertson; and three sisters, Mary Ann Burns, Ruby Baker and Iola Caudil.

Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ida Robertson Couch, 79, of Carrollton, died Monday in Bedford.

She was a retired housekeeper with General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, and attended Whites Run Baptist Church, Carrollton.

Her husband, Estill Couch, died in 1982. Sons Danny Crouch and Dennis Couch died in 1977 and 1993, respectively.

Survivors include sons, Tommy Couch and Mike Couch, both of Carrollton; daughters, Ruby Day of Madison, Ind., Bonnie Hardin and Donna Mershall, both of Bedford; brothers, Preston Robertson and Millard Robertson, both of Booneville; a sister, Josephine Daniel of Richmond; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
