William Carl Caddell, 82, of the 5700 block of Leslie Ave., died Feb. 15, 1998, in a local nursing center.
Born in Pulaski County, Ky., he was the son of William Crittenden and Pearl Haynes Caddell.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Tee Cabbell Caddell.
He had retired from the U.S. Navy and had worked as a maintenance employee with Lake Taylor High School.
Mr. Caddell was a member of North End Baptist Church of Norfolk, Pacific Rim Masonic Lodge (NU)567, A.F. & A.M., and was a friend of New Life Christian Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Caddell McPhee of Norfolk; a sister, Grace Caddell Wiser of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Rex Haynes Caddell of Lake Placid, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Pastor Ken W. Gerry and the Rev. Walter Sweeney.
Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
