Danny D. Adkins, 64, of Grayson passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born November 30, 1950 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Raymond L. and Evelyn (Lahon) Adkins. He was a former co-owner of Adkins-Slone Automotive Center in Grayson, KY and a member of Stinson Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a father-in-law, Samuel Thacker; a grandson, Daniel R. Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife, Marian (Thacker) Adkins; one daughter, Christina L. (Adkins) Skaggs of Grayson, KY; one godson, Robert "Rob" Russell of Louisville, KY; a mother-in-law, Maxine Thacker of Grayson, KY; a brother, Michael L. (Vera Rae) Adkins of Great Falls, MT; a sister, Mitzie Ann Adkins of Raceland, KY; two grandchildren, Jaydan and Raven Skaggs of Grayson, KY.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Sparks Funeral Home.
