Former Muncie resident Christine Silvers, 85, died Sunday in Suncoast Manor Nursing Home in Bradenton, Fla., after a brief illness. She had lived in Muncie all of her life before retiring to Florida in 1975 when she retired from Warner Gear (now Borg-Warner Automotive).
Survivors include a son, Gerald Wayne Johnson, Bradenton; two sisters, Jean Buis and Sybil Armantrout, both of Muncie; two grandchildren, both of Muncie; four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail D. Silvers, and her parents, Hershel and Flora Cecil Buis.
There will be no services or calling. The body will be cremated in Manasota Crematory, Bradenton.
