Russell J. Dingus was born August 12, 1904 in Martin Ky. he was the son of the late Phillip Marion Dingus and Dolly Osborne Dingus. He died on June 24, 1996, at age 91, from pneumonia Monday at 2:59 p.m. at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center, He was a retired coal miner fomerly employed by Turner Elkhorn Mining Company as a tipple operator. He was also a carpenter and a member of the U,M,W.A. local union No. 9845. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Osborne Dingus. Survivors include three sons, Herbert Dingus and Marvin Dingus of Martin and Paul Dingus of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, June White of Columbus Ohio; four Grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren. His son Fred Dingus died on the same day.
