Dr W. E. Dingus Dies at his home at Hite after long illness

Dr W. E. Dingus of Hite, died at his home at 12 o'clock on Jun 29th after a long illness of many years.
Born at Hite, January 18, 1893 Dr Dingus was the son of Phillip Marion and the late Dolly Osborne Dingus. He was a graduate of Cincinnati College of Veterinary Medecine and of the Clifton Forge Va School of Laboratory and X-Ray Technology and became a specialist in x-ray and anesthesia.
He served served as a 2nd Lieutenant in Worald War I and was a reserve officer until 1937. Dr Dingus was associated with the Beaver Valley Hospital for many years when it was under the owner ship of Dr's Edward and W L Stumbo. In 1926 he accepted a position with the hospital in Cambridge MD and remained there until 1937 when he became ill. Dr Dingus was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Maccabees and the American Legion. he is survived by his wife Gennette Marcum Dingus, one daughter Jean, his father P.M. Dingus one sister Mrs L.E. Crisp of Hite and five brothers, Lacy, Russell, Wes all of Hite, Ray of Mare Creek and Clyde of Martin. Burial was made in the family cemetary at Hite under directon of the Ryan Funeral Home.
